Mesa draws most of its employees from the local area... only 5 of you from outside the Panhandle:
— 5 of 26 from WTSU, 4 from Amarillo College... People ask why I’m so interested in area schools
Purpose of meeting... Acquaint you with MLP... Management’s philosophies and goals.
I’ll talk for a little while, then I’d like to hear what’s on your minds.

Conviction that Mesa is the best company in the industry... model for Corporate America.
Mesa is a young, progressive company providing excellent opportunities for all employees (Average age is 36).

Community involvement encouraged; despite what you may read in the paper, Mesa is a major contributor to the Panhandle area.
— $224,040 in corporate contributions to the Panhandle last year alone.
— $645,000 to Amarillo Independent School District since August of 1988.
— That includes $471,300 to te magnet school — Carver Elementary Academy.
— That figure also includes more than $100,000 for tee shirts for children in Kindergarten through eighth grade in AISD’s
Drug Free educational program.
Mesa and employees injected $94 million directly into the Amarillo economy last year... payroll, purchases from local businesses, cash distributions to local unitholders, taxes and charitable conributions.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce multiplier effect... $94 million equates to about $376 million impact on the economy and creates hundreds of other jobs.
Mesa employees are the best paid, most skilled group of workers in the area... we’re high profile. This will be a problem for you.
